Three years ago my mom had a TIA, a mini-stroke; and last Sunday it looked like she had another one. She was paralyzed and couldn't talk. My dad called 911 and my mom was taken to the hospital, where she stayed until Thursday. After days of tests, the docs found nothing wrong. All the tests came back negative or positive or neutral or however the good way the results are.
So, what the hell happened? My mom had what felt like a stroke! Well, as is common for my family, it was a migraine. A COMPLEX migraine. This is an actual type of migraine. A type that feels exactly like a stroke. Yippee. And the way to tell the difference between them? Um...Well...There's really not a way...
So the bad news: My mom had a stroke. Good news: It was a migraine.
Now, the other thing is very quick. My migraines have gotten worse lately. But, I got Botox recently!
Bad news: My migraines are back. Good news: I'm all Botoxed up.

So glad that your mom is ok, I was worried!
Also, sorry that your migraines continue to rear their ugly heads. But hooray for Botox!!!
I'm sorry I didn't post anything about it or email you. My dad got sick - like guts heaving, spending the night in front of the toilet sick - a couple days after my mom was admitted. So Karen took care of Mom and I took care of Dad and I didn't want to post until I knew something. Thankfully, they're both in fine health. :)
wtf.
times like these i get so pissed off at the brain...grrrrr
I'm glad your mom didn't have a stroke, but I'm sad she's feeling so horrible. I'm also sad that your migraines are back too. I hope you both feel better soon!
